Etude House Look At My Eyes Shadows Review

Hello~
YAY! It's friday~

Today, I want to do a mini review on four eye shadows from Etude House.

The colors are:
Look at my eyes #BR401, #BE101,
Look at my eyes Jewel #BR402 (Luxury Gold Earring)
Look at my eyes Cafe #PP501 (Purple Sweet Potato Latte)

Look At My Eyes BE101
BE101, Look At My Eyes Cafe PP501 (Purple Sweet Potato Latte)

Etude House Look At My Eyes (BR401)

Look at my eyes (BR401)
Color: Bronze/Brown with shimmer.
This is my favorite out of the four, the color is a very nice bronze brown with the perfect amount of shimmer.

Etude House Look At My Eyes Jewel (BR401, Luxury Gold Earring)
Look At My Eyes Jewel (BR401, Luxury Gold Earring)
Color: Peach Brown? (Not sure what color it is!) with gold and peach glitter.
BR402 has a lot of glitter/shimmer, so there is a bit of fallout.

Etude House Look At My Eyes (BE101)

 Look At My Eyes (BE101)
Color: A beige with shimmer.
I use this one for the inner corners of my eyes.

Etude House Look At My Eyes Cafe (Purple Sweet Potato Latte)
Look At My Eyes Cafe (PP501, Purple Sweet Potato Latte)
Color: Matte medium purple.
A famous dupe of Bobbi Brown's eye shadow in Heather. (Made popular by Park Shi Yeon)

 Swatches:

PP501, BR401, BE101 are true to color but BR402 doesn't come out as the color in the pan.
BR402 comes out very sheer, but it has the most glitter/shimmer out of the four.
PP501 is matte while others have shimmer.

Overall thoughts:
The texture of the shadow is smooth and silky which makes application very easy.
The shadows are sheer and not very pigmented. (I've never tried these with a primer, but I would recommend it!)
I personally don't mind the sheerness because I don't like to wear heavy eye shadow.
The color is build able.

Would I recommend?
Yes, I think these are a good buy for the price.
I really recommend the Look At My Eyes Cafe series, which are matte. (They are very popular in Korea.)
Also, if you like shimmer I really recommend their shadows.

Where to buy:
On Gmarket, Look at my eyes JEWEL is 5,500 won.
Look at my eyes & Look at my eyes Cafe is 3,500 Won.

I've seen Look at my eyes shadows on eBay for 4.88(free shipping).

Has anyone else tried Etude House's eye shadows? What do you think of them?

  1. These are really nice! BR401 is definitely something I would wear. I don't wear much eyeshadow so sheer is good for me.

    1. I wear BR401 very often, It gives me a nice bronze color on my eyes. I don't wear much eye shadow either, just a tiny dab of neutral colors.

    1. It really does look good on her, I'm still trying to make it look good on me. I don't own many eye shadows, but I collect lip products... which is really bad for my bank account!

  5. Love the BR401! I'm not someone who always wear eyeshadows and if I do, its always neautral color. The bronze/brown looks very wearable. :) I'm new to your blog, and I think we have same interests, hope we could be chingus! :P :)

  7. I really like the bronze and peachy colours! Usually I don't wear non-neutral shadow, especially purple. It looks great on that girl, but I don't know why it makes me look like I got punched in the eye lol T.T

    1. I know what you mean, I can not pull off non-neutral shadows! I'm a monolid, so it makes me look like I got punched in the eye too! I'm trying to figure out how to apply so it looks good.

    1. It's so true! It's really hard to find matte eye shadows in asian cosmetics. You should look at the Look At My Eyes Cafe Line, all of them are matte ^^

    1. Yes, there are two I recommend from the Etude Look At My Eyes Cafe Line. There is BR401-Caffe Latte which is a medium brown and BR402-Caffe Mocha which is a super dark brown.
