Hair Inspiration: Lee Hyori

Hello~
With the hot weather coming, I've been thinking of going for a new hairstyle.
Ever since I saw a current picture of Lee Hyori's medium length hair, I've been obsessed with her cut!

I've always been a big fan of Lee Hyori, I think she's gorgeous and can pull off any hairstyle.

Let's take a look at her current hairstyle:

The braids and the natural waves looks perfect for the summer.

Lee Hyori can sure pull off a hat! (So jealous, I have a big head!)

Isn't she gorgeous?

I think her hair color looks so good on her but what wouldn't she look good in?

I think Lee Hyori's style is  awesome, very effortless but chic.

If I had to pick a celebrity I could be, it would be Lee Hyori. She's gorgeous, has an awesome style, and  a down to earth personality. She's also my inspiration to get fit for the summer!

What do you think of her current hairstyle? Also, who's  your celebrity beauty, hair, or style inspiration?

*I'll be posting more reviews this weekend! Today is my last midterm and I will be free for one week! (WOO! Spring Break!)

Peripera's Peri's Tint Marker Review

Hello~ Today I will be reviewing the new Peri's Tint Marker from Peripera!
The Peri's Tint Marker is one of their newest products.

Description: Peri's tint marker gives lips a long lasting waterproof vivid color.
Comes in three colors, Plum Stain, Orange Stain, and Pink Stain

The Tint Marker comes in a box which looks like a color pencil. The artwork (character's name is pinky sunny) was designed by graphic designer Mari Kim (she designs for 2ne1). The box is so cute, I couldn't throw it away!

Isn't it super cute? I love the artwork on it by Mari Kim.
If i didn't know this was a lip stain, i would mistake it for a marker!

From top to bottom, Plum Stain, Orange Stain, Pink Stain

Close up of the applicator.
I really like the applicator because it's easy to apply.
The pointy tip of the tint marker lets you control and be precise with the application.

You can even write with the Peri's Tint Marker (I got bored!)

Plum Stain, Pink Stain, Orange Stain on hand

L to R: Pink Stain, Plum Stain, Orange Stain (All three colors are cool toned)
Wondering what the stars are? I covered a pimple!

The tint marker stains very well and is long lasting.
The stain will last even after drinking & eating.
Peri's tint marker has a light sweet floral smell.

Overall thoughts:

Pros: Pointed tip makes application precise & easy
Mess free
Long lasting vivid color
Strong staining power
Cute packaging
No bleeding over edges of lip line

Cons: Lips feel dry (Applying a lip balm before or after will help)

The Peri's Tint Marker is a good product which I recommend, it is easy to apply and control the color.
I especially recommend it to those who don't like the messiness of liquid tints.
These are my first tint markers and I really prefer these over liquid tints.
Try these out! You won't be disappointed!

Where to buy? I purchased mine on Gmarket  as a buy one get one free for 12,700won ($11.74).
They will give you a free pen which looks exactly the same as the tint marker with every purchase.

Beauty Inspiration: Song Ji Hyo for Benefit Comsetics

Hello~ Anyone a fan of running man!? I am! Running man's ace Song Ji Hyo is the new model for Benefit Comsetics and I think she matches their brand really well. I am really loving the bright pink lips and blush. I think it's the perfect look for the spring season, bright & girly.

Here are some pictures of the beautiful Song Ji hyo for Benefit Comsetics:

This look is so natural and pretty!

I am loving the blue eyeliner with the hot pink lips.

This one is my favorite look, I love the lip color with the matching blush.
This reminds me of Girls Generation's I got a boy makeup!

Song Ji Hyo says she always carries around the posie tint with her.
I swear I own the same posie tint, but it looks so much prettier on her!

Isn't she gorgeous? I only own the posie tint from Benefit but looking at these pictures makes me want to try out more of their products. What do you think? Do you think she makes a good model for Benefit Cosmetics? If you use any good Benefit products, please recommend~

Etude Dear Darling Neon Tint Review

Hello~ I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
It's spring season here in the United States~ Spring means we get to wear brighter colors!
If you are looking for a way to brighten up your lips, Etude's Dear Darling Neon Tint is very bright!

Description(From Etude House): A gel type vivid neon tint that is moisturizing and stains lips for a long time.Tint contains ingridients that contain vitamins and amino acid: grapefruit extract, bamboo extract, and  Eastern Prickly Pear Extract.

Etude Dear Darling Neon Tint

The packaging is simple and shows the color of the tints.
It has the same packaging as their original Dear Darling Tints.

Dear Darling Neon Tint in Neon Orange

I was a bit scared before because I have very yellow undertones but I think this tint would look good on any skin tone.
I had never tried a orange tint before this, I'm glad I did because I now love orange lip products!

Dear Darling Neon Tint in Neon Pink

The neon pink is not as vibrant as I thought it would be.
It is a cool tone pink but I didn't find the color interesting (I think it is a typical milky pink tint).

The colors really are almost neon!
The tint has a gel/creamy texture/finish when first applied but later turns into a sheer finish.
The lip tint is pretty moisturizing compared to water tints.

The tint leaves a stain that lasts long, but the creamy finish and texture doesn't last too long.
As you can see, neon orange stains better than the neon pink.

The tint smells fruity, I can't pin point one particular fruit but it's like a fruit candy smell.

(top: neon orange, bottom: neon pink)
my skin's very dry at the moment :( (anyone know any good moisture creams?)

The colors are really bright, especially the neon orange!
If you want a more natural finish, apply it once.
For a really vibrant finish, apply 3-5 times.

I applied it gradient, one layer all over and about 3 layers in the center of the lips.

The Dear Darling Neon Tint comes in 3 colors, Neon Orange, Neon Pink, & Neon Magenta

Overall thoughts:

Pros: Great color pigment
Good staining power
The stain lasts long (you will need a lip makeup remover)
Lightweight
Smells good

Cons: Creamy finish doesn't last too long
Has a acidic taste (tastes like sour candy) when you first apply (goes away when it dries)

I was first intimidated by the colors of the tints, but I really enjoy this on my lips (especially the neon orange). I think the neon orange is very unique, I own a lot of lip tints but i have never seen a orange as vibrant as the Dear Darling Neon Tint.

Would I recommend? Yes, I would recommend the neon orange tint because I have never seen a tint this bright orange. I would say the Neon Pink is a typical milky pink lip tint you can find from other Korean brands. If you want a good orange stain, try it out! ^ ^

You can purchase from Gmarket for 6,000 won. For those of you who don't like to use Gmarket, I would recommend Ebay.

I would love to hear how I can improve my reviews. I would appreciate your feedback! ^ ^
Also, if there are any Korean products you need to know about or need Korean translations for something, you can always message me through Blogger!

Korean Hair Trend: See Through Bangs

Hello~
I've been thinking of going for a new hairstyle for the spring season and a new hair trend from Korea caught my eye. The popular hair trend in Korea currently is see through bangs.
I've been seeing a lot of Korean bloggers talking about the see through bang trend lately.

Many Korean celebrities are sporting the see through bangs, but it became really popular when Yoon Eun Hye sported the see through bangs for her role in the drama, I miss you. Yoon Eun Hye's hair stylist says see through bangs can give a more youthful and softer look to the face. (Who doesn't love that?~)

Here are pictures of Korean celebrities (why are they so pretty? i'm jealous~) who are rocking these see through bangs.

Yoon Eun Hye

Lee Yeon Hee

Song Hye Kyo

Kang Min Kyung

Seohyun

Goo Hara

I personally am loving see through bangs. Theses celebrities are always pretty (not fair!) but I think the see through bangs make them look even more youthful and feminine.

What do you think about see through bangs? Who do you think looks the best with see through bangs?(Everyone looks pretty to me!)

One sunny friday

Hello! The weather today was so nice here in Cali. It's definitely spring season!
I am loving spring. The pretty flowers, the cherry blossom trees, the warmth, and the nice breeze is all so wonderful.

To celebrate this beautiful day, I went on a hike with my dogs. I wish I took my camera with me because it was so pretty. I took some pictures of the dogs with my mom's phone instead. We had tons of fun but we are all super tired from our hour & thirty minute hike. I will sleep like a baby tonight!

The dogs were resting beneath a tractor for shade (look at how tired Kobi looks!).
My dog Kobi (the white poodle) came home as a gray (very dirty) poodle after the hike!

Song of the day:
Busker Busker- Cherry Blossom Ending
Perfect song to go with the lovely spring weather today!
Anyone else a Busker Busker fan?

It was such a lovely day today~ How did everyone spend their day or how are you planning to spend it? ^ ^

March Gmarket Haul (Innisfree & Peripera)

Hello~ I purchased some items from Gmarket & they arrived this week^ ^
I ordered the items through their website and had it shipped to my cousin's house in Korea, then she shipped it to me. It took 2 days for my cousin to get it from Gmarket, then it took exactly a week for me to get it shipped from her.

I ordered from two brands, Innisfree and Peripera.

Top (L to R): Innisfree Creamy Tint Lipstick, Peripera Peri's Tint Water
Bottom: (L to R): Peripera Peri's Tint Marker, Peri's Tint Crayon

Don' t the crayons and markers look like school supplies?

I got the Peripera tints for a great deal, 1+1+1 for 9,900 won.
You can choose two lip tints (1+1) and you get a free pen(+1).
For the marker and crayon tint, I did have to pay 1,400 won extra for each of the items.
So if you purchase two marker tints or crayon tints, the price will be 12,700 won.

Innisfree Creamy Tint Lipstick (Review)

Also, I purchased three creamy tint lipsticks from Innisfree after seeing great reviews from Korean bloggers.
You can see my review here~ The Innisfree creamy tint lipsticks are 12,000 won each.

The free pen that comes with the lip tints looks exactly the same as the marker tints. Isn't it cute?
Anyone else a fan of Mari Kim? (She designs for 2ne1 as well)

Peripera gave me this nail polish for free with my purchase in RD702 Chic Red. It's a burgundy red shade (I will review it soon!).

Innisfree gave me this olive real cleansing care kit for free with my purchase.

This is what was inside the olive real cleansing kit: cleansing tissue, cleansing foam, and cleansing oil.
I love Korean Brands because they give so many freebies!

^ ^
I'm really happy I got some of the items on my wishlist (my bank account is sad!). If you are looking for Korean products, I would check out Gmarket if you are going to order alot, if not I would check out Ebay.
I will try to review the Peripera items as soon as possible!

What makeup products have you purchased lately? I'm always open for recommendations about great products~

My March Wishlist Part 2- CC Creams

Move over BB Creams, CC cream is here!
CC creams are crazy popular in South Korea right now.

For those of you wondering...

What is a CC cream? (From Wiki)
CC cream, also known as Color Control cream, is an improved and refined blemish balm cream or Beauty Balm created and developed in Korea. While BB cream was manufactured primarily as a skincare product, CC cream was developed to retain all the skincare benefits of BB cream with added nourishing ingredients and the additional aim to provide more effective skin coverage.

What are the benefits of a CC cream? (From Wiki)The benefits of CC cream is said to include high SPF rating to ensure protection from damaging UVA and UVB rays. It also treats and covers uneven skin tones more effectively and blends with skin tone better than BB creams that sometimes appear too light on certain skin tones. A lighter texture than that of BB cream also allows for smoother application with a less oily finish, while remaining extremely nourishing to the skin.  The end effect is said to be surprisingly natural and flawlessly radiant complexion than that of BB cream.

Here's a list of some CC creams I have my eyes on:
