Etude Dear Darling Neon Tint Review

Hello~ I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
It's spring season here in the United States~ Spring means we get to wear brighter colors!
If you are looking for a way to brighten up your lips, Etude's Dear Darling Neon Tint is very bright!

Description(From Etude House): A gel type vivid neon tint that is moisturizing and stains lips for a long time.Tint contains ingridients that contain vitamins and amino acid: grapefruit extract, bamboo extract, and  Eastern Prickly Pear Extract.

Etude Dear Darling Neon Tint

The packaging is simple and shows the color of the tints.
It has the same packaging as their original Dear Darling Tints.

Dear Darling Neon Tint in Neon Orange

I was a bit scared before because I have very yellow undertones but I think this tint would look good on any skin tone.
I had never tried a orange tint before this, I'm glad I did because I now love orange lip products!

Dear Darling Neon Tint in Neon Pink

The neon pink is not as vibrant as I thought it would be.
It is a cool tone pink but I didn't find the color interesting (I think it is a typical milky pink tint).

The colors really are almost neon!
The tint has a gel/creamy texture/finish when first applied but later turns into a sheer finish.
The lip tint is pretty moisturizing compared to water tints.

The tint leaves a stain that lasts long, but the creamy finish and texture doesn't last too long.
As you can see, neon orange stains better than the neon pink.

The tint smells fruity, I can't pin point one particular fruit but it's like a fruit candy smell.

(top: neon orange, bottom: neon pink)
my skin's very dry at the moment :( (anyone know any good moisture creams?)

The colors are really bright, especially the neon orange!
If you want a more natural finish, apply it once.
For a really vibrant finish, apply 3-5 times.

I applied it gradient, one layer all over and about 3 layers in the center of the lips.

The Dear Darling Neon Tint comes in 3 colors, Neon Orange, Neon Pink, & Neon Magenta

Overall thoughts:

Pros: Great color pigment
Good staining power
The stain lasts long (you will need a lip makeup remover)
Lightweight
Smells good

Cons: Creamy finish doesn't last too long
Has a acidic taste (tastes like sour candy) when you first apply (goes away when it dries)

I was first intimidated by the colors of the tints, but I really enjoy this on my lips (especially the neon orange). I think the neon orange is very unique, I own a lot of lip tints but i have never seen a orange as vibrant as the Dear Darling Neon Tint.

Would I recommend? Yes, I would recommend the neon orange tint because I have never seen a tint this bright orange. I would say the Neon Pink is a typical milky pink lip tint you can find from other Korean brands. If you want a good orange stain, try it out! ^ ^

You can purchase from Gmarket for 6,000 won. For those of you who don't like to use Gmarket, I would recommend Ebay.

I would love to hear how I can improve my reviews. I would appreciate your feedback! ^ ^

  1. the neon orange is really unique and glad that there is a tint that is also moisturizing. I've been having a lot of headache with GMarket lately because of the lack of translation in some of the products and makes me wish that I can understand korean language like you :)

    1. I didn't know how to explain it, it has a sour candy type taste to it! I was confused with Gmarket at first too! I wish it was a easier process.
